WHO ARE WE?

The Circle of Brothers was first established in 2014 in Kaitaia. It is at its core a brotherhood and support network for local Māori men, who are on a quest to be role models for the next generation of tāne in Aotearoa.

The name itself ‘Circle of Brothers’ (COB) originated from the notion that like a circle, all members of this group are equal and connected.

It is also widely understood that the support of the collective is there to benefit the individuals within this circle.

THE WARPATH

Our Kaupapa

The Warpath is a recently formed men's healthy lifestyle movement based out of the Far North. It is the dedicated community and health activation arm under the established COB-Circle of Brothers, which has built a positive reputation and image within our community over the past 8 years.

The primary goal of the Warpath is to promote and deliver positive initiatives around Taane Ora (men's health and wellbeing). Our mission is to create a mens health and fitness network that will provide support and motivation through online content/campaigns and in person engagements.

We aim to do this by developing a Te Ao Māori model that leverages physical activity as a vehicle to drive holistic programs that promote psychological, spiritual, mental and physical wellbeing. Over the past 12-16 months we have been running 6-week activation programs, providing young men in our community with the chance to be a part of our support network through a structured physical training program.
